YOUTH POETRY SOCIETY OF INDIANA (YPSI) Publication
Opportunity Guidelines for Doorways, a youth poetry anthology 


1. Open to ALL Indiana students in public, private, or home 
schooling and currently in Grades 6-12. 

2. Up to six (6) poems may be submitted including the poem submitted for the Manningham Contest. Each poem should be neatly typed in a standard font and font size using black ink on white paper. Poems should be single spaced, have a title, and be up to 65 lines, including space lines. Any topic or style can be submitted. Non- rhyming poetry is preferred. Include a short biography, your age, school information, statement of originality and permission to publish with parent/guardian signature.

Declaration of Originality: “I certify that this poem is my original work and has not been copied in whole or in part from any author’s poems.” Followed by student signature. Also include a PERMISSION TO PUBLISH statement: “I give my permission for publication in the 2020 publication of Doorways, a youth poetry anthology.” Followed by parent/guardian signature. 

3. There are no submission fees and no royalties paid if published, but proceeds will be used to purchase copies of the anthology for libraries around Indiana. When published, books will be available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and through many outlets in the U.S. and around the world in softcover and ebook formats. 

4. Deadline for submissions is February 15, 2020
