Affiliated Indiana Local Poetry Groups
Any organized poetry group in Indiana in full agreement with the object of this Society, as an organization, may become an affiliate group upon payment of dues. The group should
  • submit a report to the President for each issue of the newsletter
  • either send a representative of the club to report on their activities to both the Spring Fling and the Fall Rendezvous, or submit a written report to the Secretary.
PSI will promote their meeting times and location, contact info, website, and activities on the PSI website if these are submitted to the Website Coordinator.
Local Poetry Groups may become members upon payment of dues for the current fiscal year, to the Treasurer. Local Poetry Group Membership dues are $5 per fiscal year (Individual Membership is $18).

PSI is dedicated to supporting and encouraging poets in Indiana to join or create Local Poetry Groups in their area, and encourages any Local Poetry Group to join PSI as Affiliated Indiana Local Group.

Benefits of being a PSI Affiliated Local Poetry Group member:
  • We have re-designed and prepared our “Traveling Bookstore” for use at public gatherings, art festivals, and the like. We have issues of our organization “Ink to Paper”, membership forms, contest brochures, business/contact cards, and a PSI banner to display.  If you have members offering to sell their own books, this could be a plus to the exhibit.
  • We have sharpened how and where we communicate — mostly, the PSI Website, social media, snail mail, PSI Members Email, and events held via Zoom or face-to-face. Newsletters, forms, writing prompts, information about poetry festivals, book releases, what other poets around the state are doing, what is happening at the National level with NFSPS, and other bits of interest are now to be found all over.
What we would need from Affiliated Local Poetry Groups:
  • Your current meeting status: Zoom? Face-to-face? When? Where? How frequently?
  • A contact person, or two, to whom we can send monthly updates and tidbits of information before your meeting that month. Is this the person who will be submitting your Local Society Report that is shared during the Fall Rendezvous and Spring Fling?
  • Who in your group has recently published and how best can we advertise this momentous occasion?
  • What poetry related events and art fairs are happening in your neck of the woods?
