PSI is a great organization for poets, providing opportunities and resources for connection, fellowship, and the sharing of our creative efforts.
You may join PSI at any time!
Yearly dues for individual members are $18.00, and automatically includes membership to the National Federation of State Poetry Societies (NFSPS). Members are eligible to participate in PSI and NFSPS member-only contests, as well as other benefits described below.
When you join, your $18 annual dues pays for one year of membership, which you may then renew each year by the end of the same month that you joined (ie, if you join in June, your membership may be maintained after that by paying annual dues again by June 30 each year). PSI will send you reminders each year when your annual renewal is coming due.

Membership provides:
- Membership card
- Access to PSI members-only monthly Zoom meetings where we share poetry round-robin format, and occasionally feature guest speakers to enhance our understanding of poetry.
- Access to the PSI members-only Facebook group where we provide support, answer questions, post open poetry submissions, and more.
- FREE entry into PSI contests.
- FREE entry, plus one free guest, at the four seasonal PSI events.
- Members’ published poetry books advertised on the PSI website.
- Member of the National Federation of State Poetry Societies.
- Members may participate in various PSI Members-Only events & opportunities, like our virtual First Tuesdays Membership Meetings and upcoming Critique Night Monthly Meetings. These monthly members-only meetings are currently hosted in Zoom.
First Tuesdays Membership Meetings
Every month, our paid members enjoy access to our First Tuesdays Membership Meetings.
These meetings feature a little social time, a little PSI business, a mini-presentation (15-20 minutes long) by a PSI Poet Member on a poetry related topic, and a Round Robin. We don't make the full meetings public, but our paid Members can view the videos on our private members-only Facebook group page.
We often share the mini-presentations with the public on our YouTube Channel.

Any PSI Member in good standing can volunteer for Board Officer, Appointed positions, Committee Chairs, and/or Committee work. In addition to their elected positions, our current Board officers are acting as other Chairs, so if you are a PSI Member and are interested in helping out behind the scenes, please contact us at [email protected].
