PSI is a great organization for poets, providing opportunities and resources for connection, fellowship, and the sharing of our creative efforts.
You may join PSI at any time!
Yearly dues for individual members are $18.00, and automatically includes membership to the National Federation of State Poetry Societies (NFSPS). Members are eligible to participate in PSI and NFSPS member-only contests, as well as other benefits described below.
When you join, your $18 annual dues pays for one year of membership, which you may then renew each year by the end of the same month that you joined (ie, if you join in June, your membership may be maintained after that by paying annual dues again by June 30 each year). PSI will send you reminders each year when your annual renewal is coming due.
TO JOIN: Send us your intial $18 annual dues and a completed copy of the New Member Form. For your convenience, the form is available as both a fillable PDF and a Word document. All options for dues payment and form submission are stated on the form.

Membership provides:
- Membership card
- Discounted entry fee for our 25+ categories (with $ prizes) PSI Annual Poetry Contest
- FREE registration for our annual Spring Fling and Fall Rendezvous gatherings
- Automatic membership to NFSPS (National Federation of State Poetry Societies)
- Discounted entry fees and access to additional poetry contest categories in NFSPS contests
- NFSPS's newsletter, delivered in hard copy or electronically
- Help with promoting and/or co-hosting members' readings/book signings of their own publications
- Members may join our Closed Group Facebook page.
- Members may participate in various PSI Members-Only events & opportunities, like our virtual First Tuesdays Membership Meetings and upcoming Critique Night Monthly Meetings. These monthly members-only meetings are currently hosted in Zoom.

A lot of communication and outreach is faster and easier than in the past. Events, contests, workshops, writing sessions and more can be both in-person and digital. So much can be planned, promoted, executed, and shared across platforms like our website, Zoom, social media, and in other ways.
