Riley Fest

Enjoy this gallery of pictures of poets presenting Oct 7 and 8 during Riley Fest. This was an Indiana Bicentennial Poetry Event of ISFPC and Indiana Poets. The event took pace in Greenfield, Indiana, at the boyhood home of James Whitcomb Riley. The weekend included a visit to the Riley Museum, a Riley reenactors, the unveiling of a new Riley statute, and of course lots of pride in the poetry of Indiana! Many of our own ISFPC poets read their poets during this 2 festival. Great job, all! Pictures courtesy of Caroline Dewey.

Nice job on sharing the enthusiasm we poets have in being part of this Bicentennial Celebration. We were thrilled, we expressed ourselves poetically, encouraged others in their writing and now we go down in history. Our 75 years is a good portion of the total time we have had "an Indiana" officially as a state. As a coordinator, I want to thank all the people involved, our president of ISFPC, Sandra Nantais - each and every one of you; young students, seniors and every person in between who became part of this project along the way. As our motto reminds: "Let poetry live!"
