PSI Spring Fling Annual Convention

Spring Fling is held annually in late April, and is a one-day conference hosted by PSI. Besides our business meeting, which is always an essential part of the day for PSI members, we offer workshops and presentations to grow your skills as a poet and opportunities to share your own works. Most of all, we offer a supportive artistic and social environment. We also encourage student poets, especially those interested in the annual Manningham Student Poetry Contest, to attend. The conference is open to the public to register and attend.

Each year we gather in the October for our annual Fall Rendezvous weekend convention for poetry-related workshops, presentations, the announcement of our PSI Annual Poetry Contest winners, and a lot of Round Robin poetry sharing. The conference is open to the public to register and attend.

About poet & author Thomas Kneeland:
Thomas Kneeland is the author of five books, all self-published: Shades of Gold, Uncaged, Stop F*cking Killing Us (1st & 2nd Ed.), and Guardian. He is also the author of a book-length self-help book, Poetry Made Simple. His fourth book, Stop F*cking Killing Us, 2nd Edition, has been named #1 Best New Release in African Poetry, and #2 Best Seller on Amazon. A prolific writer and thinker, Kneeland has commissioned poems for the Indianapolis Arts Council for March Madness, where his poem “A dream, uncaged” can be seen while in downtown Indianapolis on Georgia Street. Thomas Kneeland has contributed to Up the Staircase Quarterly, High Shelf Press, You May Need to Hear This, Black Lives Matter, Nickel Plate Arts, and INverse Poetry Archives, which was created by former Indiana Poet Laureate, Adrian Matejka, in partnership with the Indiana State Library.
Thomas is the Founder & current Executive Director of The Kneeland Center for Poetry, Inc., Editor-in-Chief of The Elevation Review, a board member of the Fishers Arts Council, Assistant Director of Admission, Diversity & Inclusion Specialist at DePauw University, and a third-year Master of Fine Arts Candidate at Butler University, where he studies the craft and passion of poetry.
