Manningham Trust Student Poetry Contest

The Manningham Contest is a poetry contest for students. Judging takes place in two rounds. Poetry Society of Indiana announces state-level winners. The highest awards advance to the national Manningham Contest, sponsored by NFSPS (National Federation of State Poetry Societies). PSI invites our state winners to present at our Spring Fling. We're proud of our young Hoosier poets! Special thanks to Linda Eaton, our Manningham Chair.

Linda Eaton sent a few comments about the 2019/2020 contest:

“Thank you to all who entered the Manningham Poetry Contest, and Congratulations to the winning entries. Topics this year were more varied than ever before which was found to be delightful. The Poetry Society of Indiana salutes you for your efforts in composing a poetic piece and entering this contest.  We hope this encourages you to continue writing and to find contests and opportunities offered in different venues. Check out the Youth Poetry Society of Indiana Facebook page which is designed for poets ages twelve to eighteen. Currently there is an opportunity to enter for publication to be published in 2021. It is a collection of poems in the anthology called ‘Doorways.’ Also look for next year’s Manningham contest guidelines coming out in late fall.”
